Phillip Oberkiser, 85, of Ft. Wayne, passed away Monday at his home. He had graduated from Central High School, served in the Army during WWII and the Korean War, and was retired from Rea Magnet Wire. Phil was a member of the VFW, American Legion Post 330, and the 42nd Rainbow Division and attended Aldersgate United Methodist Church.

He is survived by his wife, Loann; son Tim; daughter Trudy (Jack) Brunkhart; brother Rex (Mary Ann) Oberkiser of Turkey Lake; grandchildren Eva, Pat, Stacy, Ryan, Kandyce, Kyle, and Avorie and two great grandchildren.

Funeral Service will be 1 p.m. Thursday at Covington Memorial Funeral Home, 8408 Covington RD with calling there on Wednesday from 2-4 and 6-8pm. Memorial contributions can be made to 42nd Rainbow Division Memorial Fund or to the American Heart Association.
