Phyllis Saylor, 94, passed away on Wednesday, March 27, 2024, at Saint Anne Home in Fort Wayne, IN. Born on Halloween 1929 in Fort Wayne, Phyllis was the daughter of the late Walter F. and Luella (Berry) Rhoads. She was a  1948 graduate of South Side High School. Phyllis married her high school sweetheart, Richard Saylor on August 28, 1948. They moved from the area in 1974 to live in Houston and Conroe, Texas where she worked for the Houston Medical Clinic. They enjoyed friends, golf, the theater, and lovely parties before he preceded her in death. She later re-married and spent several years living between a quant village in England and West Palm Beach, Florida. Following the death of her second husband, Richard Walker, Phyllis returned to Fort Wayne and lived with her daughter. Surviving are her six children, Lou Ann Homan, Jo (Jessie) Wilds, Scott Saylor, Lee Gordy, Jack Saylor, Leslie Sztary 16 grandchildren, numerous great-grandchildren, and their children. Phyllis was preceded in death by her husbands, Brother, Dean Rhoads and her grandson, Jason.  Graveside service at noon on Monday, April 29, 2029, with a luncheon to follow.
