Porter J. Pace, 80, passed away on Wednesday, July 31, 2024, at Stillwater Hospice in Fort Wayne, IN. Born in Fort Wayne, IN, Porter was a son to the late Porter and Iola (Bice) Pace. He married Nancy Woodward in 1972 and she survives. Porter worked for the City of Fort Wayne Street Department for 49 years. He was a member of Moose Lodge and Fraternal Order of Eagles. Porter loved traveling, especially to Texas. He was happiest when he was mowing his lawn. Surviving are his wife, Nancy Pace; children, Lori Sheldon, Virgil (Hilary) Hughes and Amy Hughes; and grandchildren, Kristin Sheldon, Justin Sheldon, Jasmine Hughes, Alexis Hughes and Jacob Hughes. Porter was also preceded in death by his son, Bruce Pace. There will be no services. Burial in Covington Memorial Gardens. Arrangements entrusted to Covington Memorial Funeral Home.
