Ralph E. Menefee, 87, of Angola, went to be with Jesus, Friday, September 18, 2026, at his home surrounded by his loving family.

He was born on January 30, 1939, in Fort Wayne to Oscar and Lucille (Cary) Menefee. Ralph married Barbara Hortsman on May 7, 1960; she survives. They shared a total of 71 years together, 66 being married.

Ralph owned and operated Campsack-In in Angola until 1998, then worked for Dexter Axle until his retirement. He loved Jesus and was a dedicated member of several churches throughout the years. He was a talented handyman who could fix just about anything. He enjoyed fishing, watching old western movies, playing euchre and classic cars. Most of all, Ralph was a devoted husband, father and grandfather. He always encouraged his children and grandchildren to do their best.

Surviving are his wife, Barbara; children, Theresa Menefee and Brent (Melinda) Menefee; six grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; and his brother, Kenneth (Pat) Menefee.

He was preceded in death by his parents; sisters Louise, Mary, Susie and Margaret; and brother Richard.

Visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, September 26, 2026, at Covington Memorial Funeral Home, 8408 Covington Road, Fort Wayne with funeral services beginning at 1 p.m.
