Obituary

Ralph L. Walker, 86, died Wednesday June 16 at the Golden Years Homestead. Life long resident of Ft. Wayne he worked at Renners Express 33 years as a truck driver. He was a veteran of WWII Army and was a glider-trooper in the advance on Normandy. He was a charter member of the North Christian Church, member of the American Legion Post # 82, and Teamster Union Local #414. Surviving is his wife of 64 years, Rosemary Walker, Ft. Wayne, daughter, Tonja Evans, Ft. Wayne, three grandchildren, Michael Walker, Calif, and Madison, and Morgan Evans, as well as two great-grandsons. He is preceded in death by his son, David Walker, son-in-law, Tony Evans, and a brother and sister. Services are noon on Tuesday with calling 1 hour prior to service at Covington Memorial Funeral Home. There is also calling Monday 5-7 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be in Covington Memorial Gardens Cemetery. Preferred Memorial to the Alzheimer Association.
