Raul Rodriguez Jr., age 46, died on Sunday, March 22, 2015 in San Antonio, Texas. He was born in Fort Wayne, Indiana to Raul G. (deceased) and Bernarda Rodriguez. He is a 1987 graduate of Elmhurst High School. He was a member of the Police Athletic League boxing club in Fort Wayne where, as an amateur boxer, he fought in the 1984 Junior Olympics, and in several Silver- and Golden-Gloves competitions, and he brought home multiple titles. A child at heart, Raul enjoyed the simple pleasures of life. He cherished time with his family and friends, a good game of chess, and he was an avid golfer and Colts Football fan.
Raul is survived by his wife, Lisa (Ybarra), brothers Radamez Rodriguez and Roman (Maria Concepcion) Rodriguez, sisters Raquel Foster and Ruby (Craig) Teetsel, daughter Paris Rodriguez, step-daughters Alexandra Salas and Jordyn Salas, granddaughter Makenna Ray, step-grandson Aiden and step-granddaughters Ariella and Adrianna, and nieces and nephews who lovingly referred to him as 'To Wo-Wo'. We miss him and will forever cherish him.
Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:00 am, Monday, March 30, 2015 at Saint Joseph Catholic Church, 2213 Brooklyn Avenue, with calling one hour prior. Calling is also 2:00-6:00 pm on Sunday, March 29, 2015 at Covington Memorial Funeral Home, 8408 Covington Road, with a vigil service at 4:00 pm with Fr. Tim Wrozek officiating. He will be laid to rest at Covington Memorial Gardens.
