Rebecca Joyce Haire, 68, formerly of Fort Wayne, passed on Saturday, December 21, 2013 in Port Charlotte, Florida. She was born in Kenton, Ohio, to the late Carl and Ruth (Williams) Hatcher. She was baptized, confirmed and married at Trinity United Methodist Church. She was very outgoing, loved socializing and had been a part of the red hat society since 2000.

She is survived by her husband of 47 years, Gary Lee Haire of Port Charlotte, Florida; son, Greg (Chris) Haire of Naples, Florida; sister, Beverly (Duane) Boyle of Fort Wayne; brothers, Ed (Sandra) Hatcher of VanWert, Ohio and Tom (Patricia) Hatcher of New Haven; and five grandchildren, Peyton, Mason, Ally, Bart and Payge.

Funeral Service is 1 p.m., Monday, December 30, 2013, at Covington Funeral Home, 8408 Covington Road, with calling two hours prior. She will be laid to rest at Covington Memorial Gardens. Preferred memorials are to American Heart Association.
