Rebecca Joan (Gaskill) Knight, 63, passed away Saturday, June 13 ^th , 2020 unexpectedly at her home.  Born in Fort Wayne, IN, she is the daughter of Dale L. & Sabina Joan (Taylor) Gaskill.  She was the most amazing mother, grandmother, daughter, sister, aunt, niece, cousin, friend and confidant.

Becky is survived by her father, Dale; her daughters Heather Bowlin and Samantha Knight; son-in-law Greg Bowlin; granddaughters Hadlee Chapman and Gabrielle Bowlin; sisters Sabina Johnson, Pamela Gaskill and Sandra Gaskill; nieces Victoria, Sabrina, Nikki, Alicia, Megan, Ashlee, Natalie, Sarah, Emma, Lilly; nephews Zachary, Wesley, Brooklyn, Jacob, Owen and Cory; as well as many other loving family members.

Becky is preceded in death by her mother, Sabina Joan Gaskill, who she nursed for 5 years before her passing.  She became her parents "backbone" and she touched the lives of everyone that she came into contact with.  Once you got to know her heart, she became everyone's "go to person".  She welcomed all of Heather and Samantha's friends into her home and they thought of her as their second mom.  Becky was wise beyond her years and was always available to offer help in any way she could: From family affairs, general advice, spending time with her grandchildren, craft ideas or just wanting to talk. She raised her daughters while sacrificing so much for and of herself because she was so selfless in every way.  She coached many in softball; she was a Girl Scout leader for both of her daughters and she was at every sporting event & family function. Becky also absolutely loved being a Grandmother and was so incredibly present in her granddaughters' lives where she enjoyed doing crafts, creating fairy gardens, swimming, watching movies, and spoiling them rotten with every holiday filled with more love and toys and clothes than imaginable.  They were her biggest treasure and it certainly showed.

Funeral Service is 11 a.m., Wednesday, June 24, 2020 at Covington Funeral Home, 8408 Covington Road, with calling one hour prior.  Calling is also 4-8 p.m., Tuesday, June 23, 2020 at the funeral home.  Preferred memorials are to Franke Park Day Camp Scholarship.
