Refugio R. Dominguez, age 95, passed away peacefully on November 18, 2025, at his home in Florida. He was born on May 16, 1930, in Dallas, Texas and lived a long full life marked by love, service, and strength.

Refugio proudly serviced his country in the United States Army and bravely fought in the Korean war as a combat engineer. He built a long and dedicated career, retiring from General Electric in Fort Wayne, IN. He was a loving husband, a father and proud grandfather. Refugio touched the lives of many with his kindness, generosity, wisdom, sense of humor, stories of boxing and war, and his love for the Lord. His legacy of love, dedication to hard work and laughter remains in the hearts of his family and all who had the privilege of knowing him. May he rest in eternal peace.

Refugio is survived by his children Linda, Rufus Jr., and Gregory Dominguez, Yolanda (Joe) Soto, Elaine Nunez, Rebecca (Gilbert) Mosqueda, Deborah Castillo; stepchildren whom he loved as his own Joe, Armando, and Rick Coronel and Jim, Jeanie, and Jeff Newport; 15 grandchildren, 36 great-grandchildren, and 3 great-great grandchildren; sisters Juanita Quinones and Isabell (Ray) Brock; brothers Ricardo and Alfonso Dominguez.

He is preceded in death by his wives Ramona, Francis, and Dorothy Dominguez; his parents Refugio Sr. and Consuelo Dominguez; son Dawayne Henderson; 5 brothers Ciprano, Jesse, John, Joe, and Lupe.

Visitation will be from 12:00 pm to 1:00 pm, prior to the 1:00 pm funeral service Friday, December 5, 2025, at Covington Memorial Funeral Home, 8408 Covington Road, Fort Wayne, Indiana 46804. Burial will follow at Covington Memorial Gardens with military honors.
