IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Rhoanne
Snyder
October 9, 1937 – March 7, 2020
Rhoanne Mason Snyder (born Rhoda Ann Sinclair), 82, died Saturday, March 7, 2020. Born to birth mother Mary Edna Sinclair and believed birth father Mr. Tew in Los Angeles, California. At the age of 7 months she was placed in the foster home of Florence Edna Wood Mason and Walter Dorsey "Jack" Mason and then was adopted by them at age 15. She was a stay at home mother and had kept Roanoke's Christ United Methodist Church, which she was a member, and Seminary United Methodist Church tidy for many years.
Rhoanne loved the warm weather, walking, being outside, traveling, all kinds of animals and the smell of lilacs in bloom. Her favorite color was blue and she loved to talk about the olive trees, she remembered as a child, that were across the road from her home in California. Some of the words that come to mind when we think about her are kind, caring, strong, loving, soft spoken, big hearted and always a friend to everyone. She was known to be a giver and supported many charities.
She is survived by her husband of 50 years, Olin Carl Snyder; children, Carl (Barb) Snyder and Carla (Brad) Snyder; half siblings, Mary Jacqueline "Jackie" White (Arizona), David and Kenneth Mason (Arizona).
Funeral Service is 1:00 p.m., Thursday, March 12, 2020 at Covington Memorial Gardens, 8408 Covington Road, with calling two hours prior. Officiating will be Pastor Carla Rice. She will be laid to rest at Covington Memorial Gardens. Preferred memorials are to the Visiting Nurse & Hospice Home of Fort Wayne.
