Richard Allen "Al" Zies, 93, of Fort Wayne went home to his Heavenly Father on Sept 17th surrounded by loving family at North Woods Village.  He retired from Super Value Corp in 1993.  Born in Uniontown, PA, Al was an avid Steelers & Notre Dame fan, loved the outdoors and his family. He always had a smile for everyone.

He is survived by his loving wife of 67 yrs, Ida B. Zies; daughter, Patti Taylor (C Michael); son Kevin Zies (fiance, Cari Mader); and granddaughter, Elizabeth Zies; and siblings, Lenora Sufka of Monroeville PA, Mary Ann Sokol of Warren, OH, and Dale Zies of Fruit Plain,Fl.

He was preceded in death by parents, Harry P. and Helen M. Zies; sisters Marie Hixon and Vera DeCarlucci, brothers Harry Zies Jr, Eugene Zies, and Donald Zies.

Entombment in Covington Memorial Gardens, no calling, private service.
