Rick G. Richhart, 51, died, Wednesday, August 27, 2014. The New Haven native was a graduate of Woodlan High School and volunteered with the Big Brothers Big Sisters of Northeast Indiana. Rick was an avid Washington Redskins Fan. He was a Truck Driver for Cheeseman Transportation out of Fort Recovery, Ohio and had worked at TDM in New Haven as a machinist and inspector.
He is survived by his wife, Cindy; stepchildren, Jason (Beth) Wilges, Joshua (Amy) Wilges and Jennifer (Andy) Elser; mother, Donna Connon; brothers, Gary (Linda), Gregg (Shawn) and Roger; sister, Gail (Ed) Claymiller; half-sisters, Tina Coil and Bonnie Hurless; 5 grandchildren, Jack, Brody, Lake, Sydnee and Alexis; several nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father, Gerald Richhart; nephew, Michael Rice; half brother, William Derr; and half sister, Dawn Mihm.
Funeral Service is 1 p.m., Tuesday, September 2, 2014 at Covington Funeral Home, 8408 Covington Road, with calling one hour prior to service. Calling is also 2-4 and 6-8 p.m., Monday, September 1, 2014 at the funeral home. Pastor Rick Fletcher from New Life Wesleyan Church will be officiating. He will be laid to rest at Covington Memorial Gardens. Preferred memorials are to Big Brothers Big Sisters of Northeast Indiana.
