Rick was a member of the 1970 graduating class of Snider High School. He married the love of his life, Betsy Lambert, on July 1, 1980, sharing 41 years together before her passing in 2022. Rick always kept busy and worked very hard in life. He had a successful career as a truck driver, driving for Archway and USF Holland before his retirement. Alongside his trucking career, he and Betsy ran Curblawn & Edging, a landscape business they built together on weekends. It was a family endeavor the kids grew up working together with them. Rick and Betsy taught them the value of hard work. He enjoyed spending time with family and going on vacations with Betsy, especially to the ocean. He loved spending time on the lake cruising around on his pontoon, collecting toy cars and working on one of his many projects in the pole barn. He was full of energy, was very funny and had a great sense of humor. Rick enjoyed spending time with his church family. His faith and trust in Jesus Christ was strong. He loved his dog, Mocha, and enjoyed bringing her around with him everywhere.
He is survived by his children, Landin (Lisa) McSorley, Ash (Sarah) McSorley, and Brittany (Jaren) Ritchie; grandchildren, Jaiden, Elliott, Hudson, Hazel, Jack, Jasmine, and Taven; eight siblings, Carol Wagonrod, Jennie Lee (Ken) Prickett, Stan (Sharon) McSorley, Debbie Landes, Becky (Randy) McCray, Ted (Rosie) McSorley, Sandy (Kevin) Keaveny, and Robin (Andy) Ladig.
