Robert Lee "Cookie" Rice, 68, died Wednesday February 18, 2015. He was born October 1, 1946 in Kankakee, IL to the late Duard and Harriett (White) Rice. He retired after 32 years driving truck. His last employer was Genova Products. He was a Army Veteran of the Viet Nam War. He was a member of American Legion Post 82 and St. Theresa Catholic Church.

Surviving are his companion, Nancy Tracey, children, Jennifer Lynn (Craig) Schultz, John (Susie) Kuhn, Michael (Penny) Rice, Bobby (Bobbie) Rice Jr. Cynthia (James) Connelly, 10 grandchildren, siblings, Pat Bodgner, Dave (Pat) Rice, Bruce Rice, Henry (Cathy) Rice, Marty Rice, Shirley (Tommy) Chandler and Don Rice. He was preceded in death by his wife Linda in 2000 a daughter, Robin Rice and a brother Jim Rice.

Service will be 11:00 a.m. Monday February 23, 2015 at Covington Memorial Funeral Home 8408 Covington Rd. with calling 1 hour prior to service. There will also be calling Sunday February 22, 2015 at the funeral home from 2 - 4 and 6 - 8 p.m. Burial will be in Covington Memorial Gardens.
