Robert J. Gonzalez, 75, passed away on Wednesday, March 13, 2024 at home in Fort Wayne, IN. Born in Fort Wayne, IN. Robert was a son to the late José and Consuelo (Torrez) Gonzalez. He married Gloria Lynn Johns on September 17, 1965 and she preceded him in death on October 27, 2023. He worked as a mechanic and welder and retired from Advance Mixer. Robert enjoyed riding his motorcycle. He was a devoted husband, father and grandfather. His family was his greatest joy.
He is survived by his children, Roberto (Sandra) Gonzalez, Joseph Gonzalez and Robert (Nicky) Gonzalez; 16 grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. Robert was also proceeded in death by sons, Stephen Gonzalez and Johnny Gonzalez; and siblings, Rebecca, Antonio, and David.
Memorial service 2:00pm, Sunday, March 24, 2024 at Covington Memorial Funeral Home with visitation from 12:00pm to 2:00pm prior to the service. Memorial contributions may be made to Humane Fort Wayne. Burial at a later date in Covington Memorial Gardens.
