IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Robert
Hentz
July 9, 1960 – October 8, 2023
Robert "Rob" Conrad Hentz, 63, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his family on October 8, 2023. He was born in Madison, IN on July 9, 1960, a son of the late Charles and Marcia Hentz.
Rob graduated from the University of Dayton with a Bachelor's degree and went on to work for what is now BAE Systems as an electrical engineer. He was a member of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church. Rob was an avid cyclist having ridden several times across Indiana, in addition to Iowa and many centuries and double centuries. His joy for baking resulted from being the eighth child of a baker (Hentz Bakery, Madison, IN), and his love of chocolate custard with raspberries, came from his marriage to a cheesehead. He was also a quilt square cutter for his children's TLC quilts. Rob was a keen environmentalist who assembled the greatest fleet of Prii (many Prius) known to man. His wit and sense of humor led to many well played pranks. More than anything, Rob will be remembered as a wonderful husband and father.
Surviving are his wife of 33 years, Diane (Goetz) Hentz; children, Drew Hentz, Emily (Honglin Xiao) Hentz, Rachel (Joe Knight) Hentz, Jackie Hentz; siblings, Peter (Margaret) Hentz, Chris (Barb) Hentz, Roberta (Jeff) Collison, Chelley Hentz, Mary Hentz, Charlie (Debby) Hentz, and Andy (Connie) Hentz.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
