Robert Arthur Imel, 62, died Thursday, September 21, 2017 at Lutheran Hospital. Born in Fort Wayne, he was a son to the late Donald W. Imel, Sr. and Ruth Ann (Bellanger) Imel. Bob served his country in the USMC and had worked for the City of Fort Wayne, Street Dept.

Bob is survived by a son, Robert Andrew Imel of Fort Wayne; siblings, Edward Bellanger of Fort Wayne, Gary (Sandra) Imel of Fort Wayne, Rocky (Shari) Imel of Bluffton, Kim (Rich) Schneider of Fort Wayne, Gina (Cesar) Imel of Fort Wayne and Jason (Emily) Imel of Leo; many nephews and nieces; and York.

Bob was preceded in death by a son, Brian Alex Imel, in 1999; and brothers, Jack, Donald, Jr. and Lee Imel.

Graveside services are 10:30 a.m., Tuesday, September 26, 2017 at Covington Memorial Gardens. We will be meeting in the Garden of Valor. In lieu of flowers preferred memorials are to the family, c/o Kim Schneider.
