Robert J. Klein, 73, of Fort Wayne, died Tuesday March 4, 2008 at Hospice Home. Born Sept. 10, 1934 in Chicago, he came to Fort Wayne in 1956 to be a chef and baker at Embers Supper Club. He then became an agent for Metropolitan Life for 17 years and later started a career in the home improvement industry working at Builders Square and Lowes. He is survived by his wife, Barbara Klein of Fort Wayne; sons, Robert D. (Patricia) Klein of Fort Wayne, James L. (Debra) Klein of Garrett, and Daniel L. (Francine) Klein of Fort Wayne; grandchildren, James D. Klein, Nicholas R. Klein, Jenny Kunberger, David Wm. Klein, Anthony Klein and Katherine Klein; four great granddaughters. Mass of Christian Burial Friday 10:30 am with calling one hour prior at Saint Jude Catholic Church at the corner of State & Randallia. Calling also Thursday 2-4 & 6-8 p.m. with vigil service at 3:30 p.m. at Covington Memorial Funeral Home 8408 Covington Rd. Entombment in Covington Memorial Gardens.
