Robert H. Spear, 72 of Fort Wayne, died Sunday Jan. 11, 2009 at Hospice Home. Born Oct. 28, 1936 in Earle, Arkansas, he was a US Army veteran. He worked at Kroger Distribution Center in Fort Wayne for over 38 years and was a member of American Legion Post 241 and past President of Southwest Conservation Club. He is survived by a son, Jack K Spear of Fort Lauderdale, FL; daughter, Sheila D. (Rich) Clay of Fort Wayne; brother, RD "Butch" (Ruth) Kelly of Fort Wayne; sisters, Dean (Bill) Dove of Michigan City and Clara (John) McGill of Albion; grandchildren, Amanda, Becca and Robbie Clay. He was preceded in death by his wife, Judith in 2001. Service Thursday 11 a.m. with calling one hour prior at Covington Memorial Funeral Home 8408 Covington Rd. Calling also Wednesday 2-4 & 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial in Covington Memorial Gardens with military honors by American Legion Post 241.
