Robert Carl Steigmeyer, 84, died Monday March 19, 2012 at his home. Born June 18, 1927 in Decatur, IN to the late Carl and Celeste Steigmeyer. Robert retired from G.T.E. after 40 years of service. He was a Marine Veteran. Surviving are his children, John Steigmeyer, Ft. Wayne, IN Janice (Martin) George, Valrico, FL, Joyce (Gregg) Rounds, Ft. Wayne, IN, sisters, Eileen (Tom) Thompson, New Haven, IN, Maxine (Ray) Schultz, Decatur, IN, Corinne Closson, South Bend, IN and 2 grandchildren, Chad and Justin Rounds. He was preceded in death by a brother Harold Steigmeyer. Memorial Service are 11:00 a.m. Monday March 26, 2012 at Our Lady of Good Hope Catholic Church. 7215 St. Joe Rd. Burial in Covington Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
