Rodney was born on January 14, 1971, in Fort Wayne, the son of Daniel Hall and the late Luella Barlett.
Throughout his life, Rodney was known for his adventurous spirit and zest for life. He was passionate about many things—whether it was fishing along the coastlines of various states, racing muscle cars across the country, or traveling as a roadie with his favorite rock band. Rodney's love for the outdoors was matched only by his dedication to nature, having spent countless hours exploring as a botanist and advocating for the benefits of "God's lettuce." His athleticism and adventurous pursuits extended to white-water rafting, boating, and even airbrush painting.
Rodney was an avid boater and fisherman, and for several years, worked as a boat finisher. His appreciation for a good meal and his enthusiasm for life's pleasures were contagious to those around him. He also enjoyed cruising and taking in the beauty of the open water.
A member of St. Paul Lutheran Church in Fort Wayne, Rodney's faith and connection to his community were an integral part of his life. He was loved by many, known for his charisma, kindness, and infectious energy.
He is survived by his father, Daniel Hall; stepmother, Juli Hall; stepfather, Eugene Bartlett; siblings, Monica Herbst, Gina Brooks, and Christalee (Chris) Keesler; step-siblings, Suzy Sowers, Jacob (Cami) Cowan, Jennifer (Jayme) Cashore, and Jessica Bollett; children, Janelle (Rob) Kratzchmar and Nicholas Hall; and two beloved grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his mother, Luella Barlett.
Rodney's family will celebrate his life at a future date, remembering his many passions and the deep impact he had on those around him.
