Rogers E. Harter, 76, of Fort Wayne, died Tuesday June 24, 2008 at Parkview Hospital. Born Feb. 7, 1932 in Fort Wayne, he was the son of the late Jesse & Amanda Harter. He was a truck driver for Parrish Leasing/Brother''s Express and was a U.S. Navy veteran. He was a member of American Legion Post 499, Army Navy Union 57 and loved the Chicago Cubs and Jeff Gordon He is survived by his wife, Bernadene A. Harter; sons, James A. (Janean) Harter and Ronald D. Harter; daughter, Carol S. Harter all of Fort Wayne; brother, Donald Harter of Johnstown, RI; sister, Dorothy Alvather of Roanoke; eight grandchildren and four great grandchildren. He was also preceded in death by a brother Jimmy Harter.
