RONALD D. BARTON, 60, died Friday October 20, 2006. A veteran of the US Marine Corps., he was a member of Bethel United Methodist church, the American Legion Post #499 and had retired in 2003 as a supervisor at Slater Steel. He was a former board member of the Washington Township Baseball League and coached for several years, both baseball & hockey. Survivors include his wife, Carol Barton; sons, Jeffrey (Michelle) Barton of Fort Wayne and Timothy (Alexandra) Barton of Kihei, HI; grandchildren, Chelsie, Madison, Sydney, Cameron, Nai''a and Landon; mother, Phyllis Barton of Zanesville, IN; sister, Gloria (Bruce) Wilson of Ossian; brothers, James (Jackie) Barton of Westfield and David (Robin) Barton of Ossian. Funeral Services Thursday 7:30 p.m. at Bethel United Methodist Church, 8405 Lima Road, with calling one hour prior to services. Calling also Thursday 12-4 p.m. at Covington Memorial Funeral Home, 8408 Covington Road. Graveside services 10 a.m. Friday with military honors in Covington Memorial Gardens. The family''s preferred memorials are Parkview Home Health & Hospice or Bethel United Methodist Church.
