Ronald Dean Gillem 67 died Thursday July 29 at his home surrounded by his family. Born in Kokomo, IN to the late John and Nellie Gillem he worked for Continental Steel in Kokomo 25 years and worked for Slater Steel 17 years and Valbrun Steel 6 years in Ft. Wayne. He was an Army Veteran of the Vietnam War. He was member of the Life Bridge Church. Surviving are his wife, Eloise Gillem, Churubusco, IN, sons, David (Nickie), Garrett, IN, Donald, Huntertown, IN, daughter, Annette (Ken) White, Leo-Cedarville, IN, brothers, John (Marianne), Russell, Bill (Mary Ellen) Gillem all of Kokomo, IN, sisters, Ima Jean Sanders, Donnie Stevenson, Carolyn Randalls, Judy Hayes, Barbara Langley, Elizabeth (Francis) Fulk, all of Kokomo, IN, grandchildren, Vanessa, and serving in the U.S. Navy, Nathan (Amanda), David, Stacie, Tracie, Richard, Jared, Aimee, James, great-grandchildren, Alyssa, Dakota, Hailey, Michael, Aiden, sister-in-law, Patricia Leverton, Indianapolis, IN and a host of nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by his sister, Mary. Services are 2:30 p.m. Monday at the Covington Memorial Funeral Home 8408 Covington Rd with calling 1 hour prior to service. There is also calling Saturday 5-8 p.m. and Sunday 2-4 & 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home. Entombment will be in Covington Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
