Ronald Kelly Holland died at home surrounded by his loving wife and daughter, after a long goodbye on April 12, 2023.

He was born November 12, 1948 and raised in Orleans, Indiana. He studied one year at Indiana University and then miraculously survived a severe traumatic brain injury in June, 1967.  He overcame many obstacles during his unexpected recovery and then God  led him to Fort Wayne, Indiana, where he met and married Sandra Holland, 48 years ago. He was a devoted follower of Jesus. He was a great  Husband, Father, grandfather, and friend. He was an avid fisherman. He loved his service dogs, Morris, Bear and Macho.  He was kind, gentle and faithful.  He endured much pain during his life, but was never one to complain, instead would matter of factly state, "It will be ok when it stops hurting."   He will be greatly missed, but we will be ok when it stops hurting.  We will see you again.

He is survived by his loving wife, Sandy Holland; daughter, Rachel (Jason) Voorhies, with grandchildren Sierra, Jackson and Katie Voorhies; son-in-law, Brad Bultemeier, with granddaughters, Maddie and Becca Bultemeier; sister, Rae (Wayne) Conley, in Florida; many nieces, nephews, and loving friends.
He was preceded in death by his father, Raymond Holland; mother, Irene Holland; two sisters, Joan Landreth and Rochelle Infante;  one brother, Roger Holland; and daughter, Sarah Bultemeier.

A funeral service will be held at 1 pm on Monday, April 17, 2023 with calling 1 hour prior at Covington Memorial Funeral Home, 8408 Covington Rd., Ft. Wayne, IN 46804.

Visitation will be held from 1 pm to 4 pm, Sunday April 16, 2023 also at the funeral home.
