Ronald L. Kerr, 86, went to his home in heaven on May 28, 2021. Born in Sabetha, Kansas, he was the son of Louis and Katherine Kerr. He married Natalie (Gish) Kerr in 1954. Ron was called into the ministry early in life and graduated from Ottawa University with a Bachelor degree and then attended Seminary in Louisville, Kentucky. He was an American Baptist pastor for 50 years, serving numerous churches. He and his wife Natalie have been members of The Chapel Church in Ft. Wayne, Indiana since retiring. Ron was an amateur astronomer until losing his vision several years ago. He enjoyed golf and boating with his family, friends, and youth groups, teaching many young people to waterski.
Ron was a living example of walking closely with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. He always carried on a positive and loving ministry in each of the churches he served, with a deep desire for all to know and accept Jesus as their guide though life.
He is survived by wife and loving companion of 66 years, Natalie (Gish), daughters, Diana (Terry) Lincoln, Deb (Jay) Marlow, grandchildren, Amber (Ryan) Frick, Brad Marlow, Tim (Jessica) Lincoln and Daniel (Amanda) Lincoln, six great-grandchildren: Malachi Frick, Abby Frick, Jamison Lincoln, Madison Lincoln, Mckenzie Lincoln and Molly Lincoln. and sister, Rebecca (Paul) Campbell.
He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Larin Kerr.
A Celebration of life will be held Thursday, June 24, 2021 at 3:00 p.m. with calling from 1:00 p.m.-3:00 p.m. prior at The Chapel Church, 2505 W. Hamilton Rd. Ft. Wayne, IN 46814. Memorial donations to the Chapel Church or ministry of your choice.
