Ronald "Ron" L. Silvers, 68, passed away on January 31, 2025. He was born in Fort Wayne, IN on February 10, 1956, a son of the late Oat and Edna Silvers.

Ron was a truck driver for 38 years and a member of Teamsters Union until he retired from Holland Trucking in June of 2018.

He was a dedicated Colts fan and loved NASCAR. Ron was a lifelong member of Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church. He was also a member of American Legion Post 499.

He is survived by children, Robin (Joe) Shafer and Justin (Amy) Silvers; grandchildren, Alivia Vaughn, Megan Vaughn, Ella Silvers; and brother, Dean Silvers.

He was preceded in death by three brothers, Tom Silvers, Roger Silvers and Duane Silvers; sister, Cheryl Silvers; and son-in-law, Jason Strup.

Funeral service will be held at 11 AM on Thursday, February 6, 2025, with calling one hour prior at Covington Memorial Funeral Home, 8408 Covington Rd., Ft. Wayne, IN 46804.

Visitation will be held from 4 PM to 7 PM on Wednesday, February 5, 2025, also at the funeral home.
