Rosalin Irma Unverzagt, 79, of Fort Wayne, died on Friday, February 14, 2014 at her home. The Fort Wayne native was the daughter of the late Lawrence Springer and Irma (Hans) Springer. She retired from Magnavox in 1993, after 27 years of service and then was the co-owner with her husband at Roto-Rooter. She then worked at F.W.C.S. in the kitchen. She was a lifetime member of the American Legion Ladies Auxiliary.
She is survived by sons, Michael L. (Kathy) of Fort Wayne and Glenn A. (Kitrina) of Columbia City; daughter, Vickie L. (Jeff) Warner of Fort Wayne; daughter in law, Melinda of Yorktown; brothers, Gerald (Suzanne) Springer of Fort Wayne and Milton (Mary Lou) Springer of Auburn; sister, Hildegard Blondell of Fort Wayne; 11 grandchildren; and 18 great grandchildren; and one great great granddaughter.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 52 years, Daniel Zane Unverzagt, in 2006; son, Chad E. Unverzagt, in 2012; grandson, Ross Unverzagt; brother, Gilbert Springer; and a sister, Norma Pardue.
Funeral Service is 1 p.m., Thursday, February 20, 2014 at Covington Funeral Home, 8408 Covington Road, with calling two hours prior. She will be laid to rest at Covington Memorial Gardens. Preferred memorials are to Cancer Services of Allen County.
