Rosella Frances Slocum, 95, passed to her eternal heavenly home on Monday, April 14th, 2025. She was born November 15th, 1929, in Defiance, Ohio. The daughter of John and Margaret (Keller) Herr, she was trained as a radiologist technician by profession. In 1953, she married Robert Riffling Slocum, and they had five children. Her selfless, unconditional love for all her family is a great testament to the power of love. Surviving are her sons: Robin (Kara) Slocum Fort Wayne IN, Shawn (Marianne) Slocum Columbia City IN, Todd (Lisa) Slocum Union KY; and daughters: Dawn (David) Wilkening Fort Wayne In, Nanette (Dave) Anderson Fort Wayne IN. She has 16 grandchildren and 25 great-grandchildren, with two on the way. "Nana" was loved by them all. Rosella was preceded in death by her husband, Robert (Bob), in 2000; her nine siblings—Mary, John, Katherine, Helen, Joseph, Bernard, James, Elizabeth, and Leo; and her great-granddaughter, Rose Marie.

Mass of Christian burial will be 11am, Tuesday, April 22nd at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church, 10700 Aboite Center Road.

There will be visitation 1 hour proceeding the mass. Mass will be live streamed at https://seasfw.org/livestream

Burial to follow at Covington Memorial Gardens.

Additional visitation is Monday, April 21st from 3pm to 7pm at Covington Memorial Funeral Home.

Rosary will be said by family and friends preceding visitation at 2:30 pm.
