Obituary

Rosemary Uy Green, 65, passed away peacefully on November 14, 2025, at Parkview Regional Medical Center in Fort Wayne, Indiana. Born on May 9, 1960, in Cebu City, Philippines, Rosemary lived a life marked by devotion to family, a passion for nurturing others through her cooking and gardening, and a deep-rooted connection to her heritage.

She earned her Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy from the University of San Carlos in Cebu City. Though she eventually made her home in South Bend, Indiana, Rosemary carried with her the values and traditions of the Philippines, enriching the lives of those around her with warmth and generosity.

Rosemary was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Frank Green; her brother, Alexander Fajardo Uy; her mother, Marina Fajardo Uy; her father, Arsenio Daclan Uy; her grandmother, Gregoria Daclan Uy; her grandfather, Dionisio Uy Ching Siong; and her Maltese dog, Fenty. Their memories remained close to her heart throughout her life.

She is survived by three daughters: Her stepdaughter, Camille Green and her daughters, Omunique and Lyric; her daughter, Amethyst Jones and her husband, Jonathan and their daughter, Lillian; her daughter, Nicole Mattix and her husband, Justin, and their son, Aiden. Rosemary also leaves behind eight siblings - Caesar, Ester, Elizabeth, Arsenio Jr., Joel, Ronald, Sandra, and Carolyn - and many extended family members and long-time friends who will cherish the moments shared with her.

A gifted cook, Rosemary found joy in preparing meals for those she loved. Her kitchen was often filled with the comforting aromas of dishes crafted with care - a reflection of how she expressed love through food. In recent years, she discovered a new passion for gardening. Tending to plants brought peace to Rosemary's days, and she delighted in using fresh ingredients from her garden to elevate the meals she prepared.

Following cremation, the family intends to commemorate her life this summer in Cebu City before interring her in the plot she will share with her late husband in Osceola, Indiana.
