Royce James Myers, Sr., 50 of the Wawasee Lake area, a pilot with an interest in experimental aircraft, died Thursday, May 13, 1999. He was born in Fort Wayne, December 18, 1948, to Roy Clayton Myers and Emma Bernice (Curry) Warren. He was the owner of Royce's Repair in Syracuse and member of the Aircraft Owners Pilot Association and the Experimental Aircraft Association.

He is survived by his children, Royce James Myers, Jr., Cynthia Kay Myers, Peter Smith-Myers, Anita Lynn Garman and Barbara Ann Parker; brother, Jerry (Judy) Wayne Myers; step father, Chester Warren.

Funeral service is 10 a.m, Monday at Eastland Funeral Homes, Harris Chapel, at Syracuse, with Rev. Harlan Steffen officiating. Visitation is also 2-4 and 6-8 p.m., Sunday at the funeral home. Preferred memorials are to the American Cancer Society.
