Ruby Hungerford, 95, of Fort Wayne, passed away on April 25, 2011 at home with her family at her side. Born in Summit City, Michigan, she was the daughter of the late Harry and Pearl Bean. She was a wonderful homemaker and enjoyed knitting and crocheting.
She is survived by her daughter and son in law, Diana (Donald) Congleton of Fort Wayne; five grandchildren, Anna, Phillip, Bonnie, Connie and Robert; ten great grandchildren, Andrea, Brian, Clair, Erin, Jacob, Jason, Matthew, Megan, Ryan and Stephanie and a brother, Harry Bean; and a number of nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 47 years, Fred D. Hungerford in 1984; four brothers, Loren, Paul, Harvey and Ralph; and two sisters, Thelma Austin and Louise Bean.
Service is 1 p.m. Friday, April 29, 2011 at Covington Memorial Funeral Home, 8408 Covington Road, with calling two hours prior. Officiating will be Karen Kosberg. She will be laid to rest at Covington Memorial Gardens. Preferred memorials are to Parkview Home Health & Hospice.
