Russell E. "Russ" Lowe, 64, passed away peacefully at his home Tuesday, March 18, 2014. He was born in Huntington, WV May 19, 1949 to the late Alvin "Red" Lowe Sr. and Alma Lowe-Workman. He was a foreman for the Ft. Wayne Foundry 24 years. Russ was a Veteran of the Army during the Vietnam War.

Surviving is his wife, Inez Lowe, children, Lorraine (Charles) Handschy, Amy (Cole) Mason, Staff Sergeant Mark (Meshelle) Lowe, siblings, Dana (JoEllen) Lowe, Alvin Lowe Jr., Jewel Coleman, Alvina Maynard, sister-in-law, Anita Lowe, grandchildren, Alyson, Carter, Aubrie, Madison and several brothers and sisters in law. He was preceded in death by 2 brothers, Robert and Butch Lowe.

Service will be 1:00 p.m. Friday, March 21, 2014 at Covington Memorial Funeral Home 8408 Covington Rd. with calling 1 hour prior to service. There will calling Thursday, March 20, 2014 from 6 to 8 p.m. Preferred memorials are to; Visiting Nurse or Cancer Service of N.E. Indiana. Burial be in Covington Memorial Gardens.
