Russell David Scriver, 74, passed away on Wednesday, May 31, 2023 at home in Fort Wayne, IN. Born in Saginaw, MI, he was a son of the late James and Nathalia (Ribble) Scriver. Russell married Betty Bates on October 4, 1975, celebrating 47 years of marriage. He worked for Tokheim, Fort Wayne Window Cleaning and IPFW. Russell enjoyed fishing, boating and camping. He liked bowling, traveling and gambling at the casino. Above all else, he was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather. Spending time with family gave him great joy. Surviving are his wife, Betty Scriver; children, Russell (Katherine) Scriver II, Penny (WM. Colin) White, Bobbie (Mark) Johnson and James Scriver; and 10 grandchildren, Alexandra Scriver, Jacob Robbins, Nora Scriver, Benjamin Scriver, Sophie Scriver, Ruger Scriver, WM. Xander White, Quint White, Kanin White and Kairagan White. Russell was preceded in death by siblings, Estella Scriver, Helen Dady, James Scriver, George Scriver, Leonard Scriver, Carolyn Scriver and Theresa Scriver. Funeral service 1:00pm, Wednesday, June 7, 2023 at Covington Memorial Funeral Home, with visitation 11:00am to 1:00pm prior to the service. Burial in Covington Memorial Gardens.
