Ruth Ann Hile, 75, passed on Thursday, February 23, 2017. She was a daughter to the late Harold and Helen (Kamer) Boggs. She attended First Assembly of God. She had worked in some of the surrounding nursing homes taking care of others. Ruth was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother.

She is survived by her husband of 57 years, Leo Earl Hile, Sr.; children, Susan (Steven) Fitton of Fort Wayne, Lisa (Greg) Pyne of Merrillville, Donna (Doug Swygart) Haller of Fort Wayne, Matthew (Heidi) Hile of Huntertown; brother, Kenneth (the late Nancy) Boggs of Swanton, Ohio; sisters, Dora (the late, Clyde) Box of Liberty Center, Ohio, Joyce of Texas, and Letha (Tom) Walters of Swanton, Ohio; son-in-law, Brett Haller; 16 grandchildren, 25 great grandchildren; and one great great grandson; her in laws, Henrietta "Hank" Hile and Wayne (the late, Ilene) Beer; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by a son, Leo Jr., on March 21, 1998; and grandson, Jacob; her in laws, Jerry (Dorothy) Gibson, Dick (Lucille) Tappy and Tony Hile.

Funeral Service is 1 p.m., Tuesday, February 28, 2016 at Covington Funeral Home, 8408 Covington Road, with calling one hour prior. Calling is also 2-4 and 6-8 p.m., Monday, February 27, 2016 at the funeral home. She will be laid to rest at Covington Memorial Gardens. Preferred memorials are to St. Jude or Shriner's Hospital.
