Ruth Arlene Geisleman, 87, of Fort Wayne, passed away on Thursday, September 15, 2011 at Lutheran Hospital. Born in Plymouth, Indiana, she was the daughter of the late Laurence and Cora Everly. She was the treasurer for the War Veterans Memorial Shrine, a member of the American Legion Auxiliary 82 and VFW 857.
She is survived by her two sons, Dennis (Sue) and Ken Geisleman both of Fort Wayne; and five grandchildren, Jenny, Heather, Kelly, Ken and Doug; and her long time best friend, Sue Maxson.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 44 years, Harold Geisleman, in 1990; two brothers, Fred and Clarence Everly; and one sister, Mary Jane Everly.
Funeral Service is 10 a.m. Monday, September 19, 2011 at Covington Memorial Funeral Home, 8408 Covington Road, with calling one hour prior. Calling is also 3 to 6 p.m. Sunday, September 18, 2011 at the funeral home. She will be laid to rest at Covington Memorial Gardens. Memorials are to the War Veterans Memorial Shrine.
