Ruth Joan (Davis) Hoover, 90, passed away on Thursday, April 13, 2023 at Five Star Residences of Fort Wayne. Born in Huntington, IN, Joan was a daugther of the late William H. and Clara Anna (Miller) Davis. Joan graduated from Huntington Township High School and worked as a computer operator at General Electric. She married Carl Hoover and he preceded her in death in September of 2007. She was a member of the GE Quarter Century Club and Elex Club. Joan enjoyed bowling, feeding the birds and cats. She was a true animal lover. Surviving are her daughter, Carla (Mike) Mowery; son, Jeffrey (Michelle) Hoover; two grandchildren, Logan (Shelby) Hoover and Dakota (Lauren) Hoover; great-grandchildren, Serenity, Ethan and Rylee; and sister, Carolyn Davis. Joan was also preceded in death by sister, Helen Pence; and brothers, William Davis and Dale Davis. Funeral service 1:00pm, Friday, April 21, 2023 at Covington Memorial Funeral Home with visitation from 10:00am to 1:00pm prior to the service. Memorial contributions may be made to Elara Caring Hospice or Helping Paws. Burial in Covington Memorial Gardens.
