Ruth Ann Mote, 68, died on Sunday, August 9, 2015. Born in Fort Wayne, she was the daughter, of the late Max and Joanna Merrill. She had worked for Burcraft and as a nursing aid in the Huntington area. "A loving mother, grandma and great grandma, we love and will miss you dearly."

She is survived by children, Steven (Susan) Mote of Huntington and Sally (Kent) Burkhead of Fort Wayne; grandchildren, Justin, Josh, Brock, Brenden, Emily, Katie, Paige and Kent III; great grandchildren, Lorenzo, Bently, Asher and Grayson; sister, Odette Glick; brother, George Branning; and nephew, Ray Allen Mote.

Ruth was preceded in death by her husband of 47 years, Kenneth Wayne Mote, in 2014; great grandson, Aiden; and several siblings.

Funeral service is 11 a.m., Saturday, August 15, 2015 at Covington Funeral Home, 8408 Covington Road, with calling one hour prior. Calling is also 2-4 and 6-8 p.m., Friday, August 14, 2015. She will be laid to rest at Covington Memorial Gardens. Preferred memorials are to Diabetes Association.
