Ruth McDonald Sackett, 91, died Friday October 5, 2012 in Fort Wayne, Indiana. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She was a Sarah Coventry salesperson, and enjoyed doing ceramics for 50 years. In the early 50''s, she was contestant on the TV program, " What''s My Line" and stumped the panel as a "Mud Hen".one who works with ceramics. Born June 9, 1921, in Akron, Ohio to the late George W. and Ruth (Nichols) McDonald, She was the youngest of 3 children. She and her husband, Charles, married in 1942 and lived the majority of their lives in Tallmadge, Ohio before retiring and moving to Sun City West, AZ in 1983. In 2002 they moved to Fort Wayne, Indiana to be closer to family. She was preceded in death by her husband of 63 years, Charles Sackett, parents, George and Ruth McDonald, sister, Leona (Tex) Reeves. She is survived by her children, Les (Marlene) Sackett of Fort Wayne, Charles (Cheryl) Sackett, Tampa, FL, Claudia (Chris) Jacobsen, Albuquerque, New Mexico, brother, Wilson (Mary) McDonald, Phoenix, Arizona, 10 grandchildren, Dean, Matt T., Aaron, Sam, Mike, Ryan, Josh, Matt, Alan and Amy, 15 great-grandchildren. Service is 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, October 9, 2012 at Christ''s Community Church, 10616 Liberty Mills Rd, Fort Wayne, Indiana 46804 with calling 1 hour prior to service. Pastor Dale Matthews officiating.
