Ruth Ellen Sims-Ruff, 75, passed Saturday, September 29, 2018 at Covington Manor.  She was born in West Virginia, to the late, James and Irene (Newman) Sneed. She attended St. Paul Lutheran Church. She retired from Magnavox, in 1999 with 30 years of service; and was a member of the Quarter Century Club. She was a bartender at Jack and Johnnies.  Ruth loved bus trips, gambling and NASCAR.

Ruth is survived by son, Jimmy (Missy) Sims of Fort Wayne; daughter, Diana (Robin) Smith of Wolcottville; stepson, "Little" Kenny Sims of Wolcottville; five grandchildren, Eric, Ryan, Dallas, Dustin and Cadence; one great grandson, Oliver; two sisters, Lori Pelt and Helen Perez both of Florida; and her life long best friend, Mel Harrah.

Ruth was preceded in death by husband, Kenneth Blair Sims, on October 16, 1996; and two brothers, Paul and Damon Sneed.

Funeral is 1:00 p.m., Thursday, October 4, 2018 at Covington Funeral Home, 8408 Covington Road, with calling three hours prior to the service.  She will be entombed at Covington Memorial Gardens.  Preferred memorials are to Alzheimer's Association.
