Obituary

Ruth L. Bercot, 91, passed away April 1, 2015 in Naples, Florida. She was born August 6, 1923 to Isaac and Martha Virginia Sites. On December 16, 1950 she married Paul E. Bercot from Gull Lake, Saskatchewan. As one of her granddaughters stated, "She laughed effortlessly and often. She loved freely and generously. She made connections with people spontaneously and deeply. She was heroic in her strength and her impact on us all was epic. In return, she was loved and cherished by too many to count and her loss is unbearably profound." She persevered with grace through numerous hardships early in her life, yet she remained strong and resilient through her infinite faith. Family was her true passion and she loved spending time and giving of herself to her large family.

Surviving are her husband Paul E. Bercot, children Steven (Lenka) Bercot, Colleen (Bruce) Hallberg, Don (Cynthia) Bercot, Ginger Malone, Jim (Jean) Bercot, Michael (Kristine) Bercot and John (Karen) Bercot, 20 Grandchildren, 10 Great Grandchildren and many nieces, nephews, cousins and countless friends. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Richard P. Kelley, her parents, seven siblings and one grandson.
