Sabina Joan Gaskill, 88, passed Wednesday, December 25, 2019 at home surrounded by her family.  Born in Paulding County, Ohio she was a daughter to the late Roy and Susie Taylor.  She was a devoted wife, loving mother to her girls and grandchildren.

Sabina is survived by her husband of 63 years, Dale; daughters, Rebecca Knight, Sabina Johnson, Pamela and Sandra Gaskill; siblings, Rheba Eichhorn, Virginia Hakes, Marvin Taylor and James Taylor; grandchildren, Heather (Greg) Bowlin, Zach (Meagan) Johnson, Victoria Gaskill, Sabrina Gaskill, Samantha Knight, Sabina Megan (Mic) Wilborn and Wesley Gaskill; great grandchildren, Jacob, Sarah, Hadlee, Brooklyn, Gabrielle, Owen, Emma and Sabina Lilly.

Sabina is preceded in death by siblings, Roy Taylor and Ruby Hale.

She was always present when in the company of others and could be counted on for her honesty.  She was the heart of our family and she will always be in our hearts.  Her talent in the kitchen was hard to beat.  Growing up, dinner was always at 5:00 sharp and any one lucky enough to be there was welcome to eat.  Her spirit touched many souls and her memories will never be forgotten.

She was a member of the Kings Daughters and Sons Foundations.  She loved watching hummingbirds from her front window while spending time with family.  She told us if we see a hummingbird it is her coming to say hello.  She nurtured many young ladies and created treasured memories as a Girl Scout leader.

Funeral Service is 11:00 a.m., Thursday, January 2, 2020 at Covington Funeral Home, 8408 Covington Road, with calling one hour prior.  Calling is also 3-5 & 6-8 p.m., Wednesday January 1, 2020 at the funeral home.  She will be laid to rest at Covington Memorial Gardens.  Preferred memorials are to Matthew 25 or Aging and In Home Services.
