Salvatore "Sal" F. Cuttitta, 96, passed away Monday, August 5, 2019.  He was born on July 2, 1923 in Manhattan, NY to the late Felix and Concetta Cuttitta.  He was in 466 ^th . Bomber Group WWII, Northern Indiana Baseball Hall of Fame, British WWII Baseball Hall of Fame and the Pittsburg Pirates Farm Team.

He is survived by   his children; Carol L. (David) McGinley, Bruce F. (Beth) Cuttitta, brother Joseph Cuttitta, 5 grandchildren, Michael (Michelle) McGinley, Nicole (Jon) Kratzner, Christine (Chad) Lyons, Sally (Bryan) Harshbarger, Alex Cuttitta, 7 great-grandchildren, Avery, Cole, Grace, Charlotte, Sophia, Margaret, Patrick and a host of nieces & nephew and cousins.  Sal was preceded in death by his wife Winifred L. Cuttitta in 2009 and 2 siblings, John Cuttitta and Marie (Jack) McCann.

Funeral service will be 6:30 p.m. Friday August 16, 2019 at Covington Memorial Funeral Home 8408 Covington Rd. with visitation 3 hours prior to service.  Preferred memorials are to Honor Flight of N.E. Indiana.  Inurnment will be in Covington Memorial Gardens.
