Sandra J. Bethay, of Fort Wayne, passed on Monday, May 12, 2014 at home with her family by her side. She was born in Troy, New York, to the late William and Emma MacDonald. She was a family service counselor at Covington Memorial Gardens & Funeral Home for over 15 years.

She is survived by her husband of 38 years, Jon W. Bethay; stepson, Derek (Christy) Bethay of New Haven; brothers, William MacDonald and Gerald (Marsha) MacDonald both of Fort Wayne; and two grandchildren, Joshua and Hannah.

A celebration of her life is 10 a.m., Thursday, May 15, 2014 at Covington Memorial Funeral Home, 8408 Covington Road, with calling one hour prior. Calling is also 4-8 p.m., Wednesday, May 14, 2014 with the rosary recited at 7:30 p.m. Fr. Timothy A. Wrozek officiating. She will be laid to rest at Covington Memorial Gardens. Preferred memorials are for Colon Cancer c/o Cancer Services of Allen County.
