Sandra Elaine (Welbaum) Lux, 70, of Fort Wayne went to be with the Lord on, Thursday, May 18, 2017. She loved Christ and her family and left the world a better place. Our love for others gives evidence of God''s love, and love is proof of our commitment to Christ. Love, then, is spending ourselves, investing ourselves, in the daily and eternal well being of others.

She is survived by her husband of 48 wonderful years, Douglas; sister and best friend, Judith Welbaum; she is also survived by and was very proud of her two children, Nicolas M. (Erika) Lux and Laura A. (Jeremiah) Lux-Thompson; she enjoyed her grandchildren, Jacob and Hailey Lux; and step-grandson, Jordan Thompson.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Don and Mazie Welbaum.

A Memorial Celebration of her life is 2-5 p.m., Tuesday, May 23, 2017 at Covington Memorial Funeral Home, 8408 Covington Road. She was laid to rest at Covington Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers memorials are to Allen Co. S.P.C.A. or Shrines Hospital for Children.
