Sarah  Bender, 36, Fort Wayne, IN passed away at Stillwater Hospice on May 2nd, 2025. She was born in Fort Wayne, IN on April 20, 1989, the daughter of Steve and Dar (Sweet) Bender.

Sarah was a beautiful soul that loved to spend time on the lake, taking boat rides, and going shopping. She especially enjoyed shopping for her niece and watching her open those special gifts. Spending time with her cat Sophia brought great joy to her day.

She is survived by her parents Steve and Dar Bender, Sister Laura (Jake) Hattaway, grandmother Norma (Mouse) Bender, aunts Carole Sweet, Linda Sweet, uncle Gregg Bender, niece Layla Hattaway, and long time boyfriend Jerry Cramer.

She was preceded in death by grandmother Dorothy Applegate, grandfather Stanley Bender, and uncle Mark Bender.

The family has requested a private service and burial.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Allen County Humane Society in Sarah's honor.
