Sarah Jean (Phillips) Childers, 72, of Huntington passed away December 29.  She was born March 26, 1949 in Fort Wayne, Indiana to the late Robert and Ora Jean (Kelley) Phillips.

Sarah was married to William Childers for 15 years before his passing in 1986.  She raised her three children on a little farm in Huntington while working odd jobs here and there.  Sarah enjoyed arts and crafts and went back to school for an Associate's Degree in Art.  She loved to read and cook, especially baking and candies.  Sarah loved her children, grandchildren and great grandchild and she will be missed.

Sarah will be remembered by her children, Shannon (Justin) Stover, and John "Alec" (Lisa) Childers; grandchildren, Matthew, Morgan, Michael, Kailey, Timmy, Jesse, and Shelby; great grandson, Kingston; siblings, Doris, Robert, Craig, Nancy, and Rita; and many nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents and husband, William, Sarah was preceded in death by her daughter, Ora Jean Childers.

Family will receive friends Monday, January 10 from 1:00pm - 3:00pm at Covington Memorial Funeral Home, 8408 Covington Road, Fort Wayne, Indiana 46804.
