Sarah Jeanette Rivers, 90, passed away Thursday, March, 11, 2021.   Born in Morrow County, Ohio she was a daughter to Edwin and Laura Phillips.  Sarah married James Rivers, He preceded her in death. She was a member of St. John Lutheran Church in Ft. Wayne. She was a seamstress so talented that she made her daughter's wedding dress. She also enjoyed crocheting and embroidery.

She  is survived by her daughter, Susan Geisinger,  Batavia, Ohio, grandchildren, Lindsey Paterson and Joey Johnson, great grandchildren, Breanna Dearch, Marshall Peterson, Elijah Johnson, Kassie Johnson, sisters Lois Rinehart and Carol Welch.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her  husband, James, son, James Rivers, grand daughter,  Laura Geisinger, brothers, Gerald and Ernest Phillips, sisters, Mildred Scheidler, Esther Blice, Bertha Beckel and Laura Phillips.

Per Sarah's request there will be no services. She will be inurned at Gate of Heaven Cemetery in Cincinnati, Ohio. Covington Memorial Funeral Home; 8408 Covington Road handled the arrangements. memorials to  St. John Lutheran Church, 729 W. Washington Blvd., Fort Wayne, IN 46802
