IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Sharlene
Gill
April 11, 1937 – December 7, 2020
Sharlene L. Gill, 83, passed away, Monday, December 7, 2020. Born in Fort Wayne, IN to George and Amelia Limecooly, she grew up with strong pride in her hometown. She married George F. Gill and together they raised two sons, shared a love of travel, and enjoyed attending Mad Ants and TinCaps games. Whenever she was out, Sharlene would share her warm smile and quickly become friends with those around her. Sharlene was also very close to her church family at Resurrection Lutheran Church, where she enjoyed singing in the choir.
After George passed she made the decision to move into an assisted living in Phoenix where she continued to build new friendships. However, she often reminisced about her Fort Wayne family; "the gals" from high school, her church family, and all the children (and their families) that became a part of her life through her home daycare.
She is survived by two sons; Scott (Shelly) Gill, St. Louis, Missouri, and Andy (Amy) Gill, Phoenix, Arizona, Grandchildren, Abby, Melanie, Aidan and Isaiah Gill and brother, Donald (Mary) Limecooly.
A private family funeral service will be held on December 17, 2020 at Covington Memorial Funeral home 8408 Covington Road.
She will be interred at Covington Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Resurrection Lutheran Church.
