Shirley Jeanne Esterline, 84, passed Tuesday, June 9, 2020.  Born in Paulding, Ohio she was a daughter to the late George and Catherine Sontchi.  Shirley had worked for Zollinger and Magnavox prior to her family.  She was a devoted wife and mother staying at home raising her family.  She had worked for Anthony Wayne Elementary as a teacher's aid and in the kitchen. Shirley then dove into specialty advertising with DOT Corp in Auburn traveling around to many places.  She was a member of Fairview Church of God.

Shirley is survived by her husband of 64 years, Meredith Eugene Esterline; children, Gordon (Linda) Esterline of Mooresville and Amy Mountz of Fort Wayne; brother, Gary (Marlene) Sontchi of Florida; and two grandchildren, Ben (Jennifer) Esterline and Katie Esterline.

Shirley was preceded in death by a son in law, Tony Mountz.

Visitation is 4-7 p.m., Friday, June 12, 2020 at Covington Funeral Home, 8408 Covington Road.  She will be laid to rest at Covington Memorial Gardens with a private family service.  Preferred memorials are to the church or Sage Bluff Health and Rehab Center.
